The size of the chart of account is entered in diagrams.

The diagram of the general ledger determines the current number of positions of the chart of account.

If the diagram of the general ledger is set from 1 until 9999 then the current number of positions is four (4).

 

In the Supervisor menu, submenu Book the chart of account can be increased.

 

The current number of positions is indicated automatically. At field New number of positions the size of the new chart of account can be entered. The maximum number of positions is seven (7).

Depending on the new number of positions an extra zero is placed behind the account number.

 

For example:

- The current number of positions is 4

- The new number of positions is 6

 

Account number 1201 becomes 120100

Debtor number  10001 becomes 1000100

Creditor number 50001 becomes 5000100
