When you have a paid Mill7 support subscription you can download the latest version of Mill7 from our website www.millogic.nl.
General
On the website, the date and version of the latest update is mentioned.
You can compare this with your own version via menu Help> Version info.
The newest version of Mill7 can be installed even when versions are skipped.
On the website, you can also find a link to the Release Notes in which the most important changes are mentioned.
Checking for a new version and downloading the update can also be done just by starting the update function at Supervisor> Update Mill7.
When an update is available, a message and a Download button will appear.
Every year in April and October, a release will be issued.
The version of the software will receive a new letter followed by 1 for first release like 7.6D.1 (April 2019).
In a period of three months after that release, Millogic may issue one or two updates with new functionalities and bug fixes.
Those updates will receive a higher number with the same letter, like 7.6D.2 and 7.6D.3.
The version of October 2019 will have number 7.6E.1.
Twice a year, in April and in October, new fields are added to the database.
Changing the database has to take place in all bookkeepings in the system.
When installing an update with a different letter in the version than the currently installed version, the conversion of the database is executed automatically.
Depending on the amount of bookkeepings in the installation the procedure can take up minutes (20 bookkeepings) up to several hours (2000 bookkeepings).
When you experience trouble installing the update please consult the FAQ section on our website or contact our helpdesk.
