If you have Crystal 8, you can make custom-made reports or edit existing reports.
Caution: when new versions appear, your custom-made reports may no longer work, you need to revise the reports yourself.
To be able to make custom-made reports, you are strongly recommended to follow a follow-up course. Not only do you need to become acquainted with Crystal 8, you also need to get to know the used files and their interrelation. You can of course pick this up from the default reports. With the browse function, you can view the contents of the field.
Millogic files its standard reports in the Reports directory. During updates, these are overwritten. To prevent your custom-made changes being lost, you need to place your changed version in the ..\Reports\Custom directory. If a standard report is found in the custom directory, it is used.
As in a custom-made report the location of the files usually refers to the data directory, the print preview will probably not display any records. Therefore, start up the report via Mill7, the files are then opened in the correct (bookkeeping) directory.
Custom-made reports can be started up from the Custom-Made menus or from the Wizards.
If you make reports per firm, per person, per user, per debtor or per creditor, the custom-made reports are speeded up considerably. Suppose you want to report documents per firm: sort on firm.Code and call the report "Documents per firm". Without delay, the report appears for the firm last used in Mill7. If you incorporate "per person" (or "per debtor" or "per creditor" or "per user") in the title, a selection is made on person (or debtor, or creditor).
To allow the user to enter selections when the report is started up, a parameter field needs to be incorporated. Place the parameter field in the Selection Formula.
