Import currency rates

Currency rates can be imported in Mill7.

It is also possible to download rates automatically on a daily bases.

Import type = Currency rates

The next fields can be allocated:

 

1. Currency *

2. Currency rate **

3. Inverted currency rate **

4. Date

The Inverted currency rate will only be used if the field Currency rate is blank.

The rate table in which the rates should be imported in, can be selected at tab page Import data.

 

Only lines with status OK are processed.

When there is already a rate for the given currency at the currency date, the rate is overwritten.

 

1. Currency:

The code of the currency as maintained in Mill7.
The currency table can be find at the Currency screen in Maintenance > Financial > Currency.

 

2. Currency rate:

The rate of the currency:

For example

Reference currency (bookkeeping value) = Euro

Rate GBP = 0,83138000
The reference currency is set at tab page Import data.

 

3. Inverted currency rate:

The rate of the currency:

For example

Reference currency (bookkeeping value) = Euro

Rate GBP = 1,20281940 (1 / 0,83138000)

 

4. Date

A rate date can be set in the import file.

If no date is found, and no exchange date is selected, the rate will be imported with the current date.

 

Additional settings at tab page Import data

Exchange date

Set the date the rates are set for.

 

Reference currency

Set the default currency the rates are set to.

 

Rate table

Select the rate table the rates should be imported in.

The daily download sets the rates default in table number 0.
